Shirley Mitchell has made the move from her vice principal role at Surval Montreux on Lake Geneva

Shirley Mitchell has been appointed as the new school director at the in Switzerland.

Charged with overseeing several major building and expansion initiatives at the school, Ms Mitchell steps into the role at a pivotal moment in its growth and development.

Ms Mitchell has not travelled far for her new role in the village of Saanen near Gstaad: previously, she was vice principal of on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Before that, she served as assistant principal boarding & PSHE at DLD College London.

Philippe Gudan, chair of The John F. Kennedy School Foundation, said: “Her extensive experience and dynamic vision for the future make her an ideal fit for this crucial leadership role.”

Ms Mitchell is a passionate advocate for the benefits of boarding and international education. She has led webinars and training sessions for global audiences, exploring these topics in depth.

As an author of several mental health and wellbeing programmes, she has seen her initiatives successfully implemented in schools around the world.
